Obama – Christian…or Marxist?

Obama’s Church is Rooted in Liberation Theology which is Rooted in Marxism –  The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology.

Simply put, Liberation Theology is an attempt to interpret Scripture through the plight of the poor, the disadvantaged and the down-trodden minority.  It is largely a humanistic doctrine which started in South America in the turbulent 1950’s when Marxism was making great gains among the poor because of its emphasis on the redistribution of wealth, allowing poor peasants to share in the wealth of the colonial elite and thus upgrade their economic status in life.

Where have we heard that phrase – redistribution of wealth?

By his actions in the last year, I believe that Barack Obama has identified himself with Christianity as a clever cloak for his political agenda. His siding with homosexual activists, his support of abortion on demand and even his refusal to express Christian values in the White House during the past holiday should give all of us pause.

The founder of community organizing(one of Obama’s specialties in Chicago), Saul Alinsky, regarded churches as an ideal vehicle for advancing the Marxist cause.

But to have credibility in organizing churches, young Obama needed to join a church. Obama the skeptic was likely impressed by the emotional effect of Reverend Wright’s preaching on the congregation. From some of Wright’s vitrolic sermons(that he says he did not hear) he likely discovered that the rhetoric of Christian myths can be a powerful instrument for Marxism. The webpage of Wright’s “talking points” identifies Trinity UCC as

“a church whose theological starting perspective starts from the vantage point of Black liberation theology being its center.”

For Obama, that “larger project” of his current agenda is America’s servitude to Marxist socialism, for which Christian verbiage can be made a tool of manipulation. As far back as 1995 Wright’s disciple and Bill Ayers’ protégé disclosed that to establish the “new age” of collectivist “salvation” will require compulsory “sacrifice” of Americans’ liberty.

This view does not bode well for Christianity nor Christian values in America.  In small steps, we can expect one freedom after another to be stripped away – sometimes overtly, but most times covertly.

What do you  think?

  1. Has he chosen a church yet? Does he attend ANY church? Did he attend ANY Christmas service?

  2. He is hop scotching around – Episcopal, Baptist, Catholic and who knows what. His old church, where he was indoctrinated in the theology that we discussed is in Chicago area. Who knows where he will finally settle down. Unknown if he is a regular at any specific church – certainly not like Bush or others before him.
