Nancy Pilosi’s Airborne Saloon

While there may be some argument as to size of the Air Force jet that Nancy Pilosi has at her disposal to travel back and forth each weekend from Washington to San Francisco, there is no argument that she spends about $1000 on each round trip for booze according to Bob Unruh at WorldNet Daily, February 6, 2010(http://www.wnd.com.)

Over $101,000 in taxpayer funds have been spent in the last two years on liquor of various types for Pilosi and her passengers(sometimes on jets as large as 200 passengers) .  This wild party in the sky each weekend includes the following purchases: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Creme, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey and Corona beer”.

While liberal leaning organizations such as “Fact-Check” and others try to divert attention from this weekly alcoholic binge, the conservative group Judicial Watch obtained 2,000 pages of receipts and expense reports for speaker travel under the Freedom of Information Act. The group says these demonstrate Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s “boorish demands for military travel” are “more about partying than anything else.”

While Pilosi may  have certain rights of travel and security being only two heartbeats away from the  Presidency, it seems that she and her entourage(including family members and congressional friends) have more than a casual tendency to embibe.

Who on earth can consume $1000 of liquor on ten(10) hours of airtime to and from San Francisco? Is this the clear thinking leadership of the House of Representatives that the United States needs at this critical time in our history?

One wonders how many of the devious parlimentary moves she has come up with in the current health bill were hatched over a half dozen highballs at 35,000 feet.

What do you think?
