Bin Laden – Credit taken – With mistaken information – And a White House now spinning its stumbling rush to celebration…

It its unabashed rush to credit President Obama and increase his political capital with the capture of Osama Bin Laden, the White House and its minions quickly began its exuberant media celebration by putting out a wealth of information regarding the incident in Pakistan – a greater part of it incorrect, some top secret and much clearly  conflicting in nature.

The open publication of much of this material is clearly in violation of national security and provides terrorists with a better view of our methods and techniques for counter-terrorism activities.  In days gone by, we would have called this treason.

The divulging of such sensitive information should send a few people to jail – as has happened in years gone by – with a bare minimum of exclusion of that individual from further access to secret, top secret and compartmentalized information – as was the case in the elimination of OBL.

Actually, several days later, they still can’t get it right – dodging reporter’s questions and spinning prior disclosures with a variety of platitudes which demonstrate the inexperience of the entire Obama administration in dealing with national security issues.

The real problem which rises to the surface as a result of this series of White House debacles is the fact that decision making in the Administration is clearly premature and in many case  based on flawed information – and that is something to be really scared about.  In other words, if they can’t get the story right after nearly a week of detailed grilling by the media and the public – what assurance do we as a country have that the next time a serious national security issue arrives that the Administration will have their nuts and bolts together(they already have a ready supply of certified nuts) to protect the country and its citizens?

What do you think?
