Perhaps the biggest of the environmental hypocrites is Mr. Al Gore
Nobel Laureate Gore purchased a $9 million mansion in the luxurious hills of Montecito, California, recently, and with the exception of the Los Angeles Times and Fox News, America’s media couldn’t care less.
You think it might be because the Gore-loving press wouldn’t want people to consider the possibility that all of his global warming hysteria was really about lining his wallet and not saving the planet?
Formulate a response to that question as you look at what all that money the former Vice President is making off of spreading this myth can buy. Then there is his little cottage in Tennessee which uses more energy than some small cities.
Al Gore has been preaching energy efficiency and CO2 reduction for more than three decades. BUT, the Gore Tennessee home above is among the least-efficient high-CO2-emitting residential sources of global warming in America. That does NOT mean that man-made climate change is a political hoax. It just proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that Al Gore Is A Two-Faced Hypocrite, who has no clue about what to do.
Al’s home has inefficiently-located indiscriminate windows on all sides. It has a dark roof with no radiant barrier in the hot Tennessee summer sun, which significantly increases his electric bill unnecessarily. The Gore’s fireplace emits a large volume of harmful soot and global warming CO2. His black-asphalt driveway / parking area contributes to the local urban heat island. His irrigation system wastefully sprays water into the hot summer air. His sod contributes to energy-and-water waste, ground-water pollution, and uses petroleum-based fertilizer.
In his award-winning (obsolete) PowerPoint slide presentation movie, Gore calls on people to conserve energy and to reduce CO2 emissions by using less electricity at home. BUT, Gore pays 20 times more for electricity and gas than an average American homeowner does! Is this the role-model example that his political patrons should be enthusiastically following? USA has many greedy fossil-fuel profiteers who do not emit as much CO2 in their homes and personal travels as Al Gore does.
Then we have that rabid environmentalist and suspected closet homosexual John Travolta with two of his regular transportation vehicles(airplanes) parked in his front yard. More fuel consumption here per mile than most cars use in a year. He even named his boy Jett…young lad passed away unfortunately.
Shame on you Travolta – a rabid environmentalist without a single solar panel on their house….but a fleet of SUV’s in the driveway…
Of course, then there’s that loudmouth environmental diva Barbara Streisand and her home which covers nearly a city block….but to its credit, it does have a couple of solar panels, just enough to warm the bath for her dogs…
So, what’s the message here. We have all of these motormouths, yelling and screaming about the effects of global warming, each owning homes that could house two dozen families…and use enough electricity and natural gas for heating to support a small city in the midwest.
Are we to take these people seriously when they talk about environmental concerns….or just write them off to the hedonistic lifestyle that they enjoy…while looking down on the common folks and trying to figure out a way to have the commoners continue to support their extravagent lifestyle.
Oh…then again there is President Obama who, according to his closest advisors, keeps the White House warm enough to grow orchids…while transients on the steets nearby live in cardboard boxes at the curbs…
Finally, there is Prince Charles – that rabid aging environmentalist who criticizes everyone who does not reduce their so-called “carbon footprint”, grow and eat organic foods and ….well, the list could go on and on.
Prince Charles was accused of hypocrisy last night for using a private jet on an ‘environmental’ tour of South America.
The prince will travel to the region next month in a visit costing an estimated $300,000 as part of his crusade against global warming.
He will use a luxury airliner to transport himself, the Duchess of Cornwall and a 14-strong entourage to Chile, Brazil and Ecuador on a 16,400-mile round trip.
In the picture above, the Royal Airbus A319 seats 29. As a commercial plane it could have carried 134.
Next time you hear one of these rich and well-known people talk about environmental concerns, remember the pictures above…and remember Obama in the White House with the thermostat turned up to the mid 70’s…
WAIT – We do have some suggestions for our rich and famous entertainers above – should they REALLY want to walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to environmental concerns…we’ve got a few suggestions for homes that they could live in to prove to us that they really believe what they are talking about…
So…Mr. or Ms. global warming environmentalist, next time you pull up to your home in your new Bentley and have the maid help you off with your coat and hat…just remember that those of us out here who hear you rant and rave about environmental issues know how you really live and think about such things…
We welcome your comments and any additions to this list…
